Since my first Forester in 2006 I’ve loved the Forester for its comfort, exceptional reliability, and its ability on all types of terrain whether highways, muddy rural roads, sand tracks in Mozambique, or tracks into remote valleys for canoeing. It’s truly the supreme all rounder. I didn’t think it possible for Subaru to improve on the first two Foresters I had, but my current Forester Sport has proved me wrong. It’s brilliant. Dealer service and support at Subaru Pietermaritzburg has also been terrific.

For 325 000km, no problem. Then I put a replacement motor in, and bar a few teething problems, she has done 365 000km. The most forgiving car I have ever owned or driven.
