Interior
The Tribeca’s full leather interior has won awards galore and, quite frankly, this is hardly surprising; it is spacious, comfortable, elegant and functional. It’s undoubtedly a great place to be; rich textures and premium materials surround the driver and passengers.
The flowing and sculpted dash and centre console design set the pace for the award-winning interior. Aluminium-look trim highlights the sculpted shapes of the dashboard. Electroluminescent dials and subtle ambient interior lighting provide a sophisticated touch, illuminating both front and rear foot wells, the centre console and the cup-holders.
One of the most talked-about interior features is the multi-function display, which comes in the guise of a touch-screen. The driver can choose from a number of menus to alter a wide range of operating parameters, as well as monitor information such as instant and average fuel consumption and the remaining fuel range, and view the ambient temperature. Furthermore, it can be set to show service intervals by date and even tyre pressure adjustments – just to name a few functions. The touch-screen instantly turns into the display for the parking camera when the reverse gear is selected, with a number of coloured markers illustrating the distances to obstacles and the vehicle’s width.
Both driver and front passenger enjoy the benefit of eight-way electrical adjustment for the leather seats. These can be heated, with a choice of three temperature settings. In addition, the Tribeca boasts a six-disc CD changer, dual zone climate control, sunroof, rear air-conditioning ventilation and folding/reclining rear seats.
