Hennie Groenewald and the Sasol Subaru WRX STI was the most consistent performer in the second round of the Bridgestone Production Car Championship at Killarney in Cape Town, racing to three podium places and taking the overall day’s win and closed another two points on the championship leader and is just 2 points off second in the title race.

After a fighting 3rd overall on the day after claiming 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishes in the opening Bridgestone Production Car races at Zwartkops at the beginning of this month, Hennie Groenewald is in an early 3rd place in the championship standings, while Richard Pinard is set to improve on his position.

Team Sasol Racing had a solid start to the Bridgestone Production Car Championship at Zwartkops Raceway this Saturday, with Hennie Groenewald powering his Subaru WRX STI to 3rd overall and two podium finishes while Richard Pinard had a mixed day, ending 9th overall.

Team Sasol Racing will field two Subaru WRX STI’s for Hennie Groenewald and Richard Pinard in the 2012 Bridgestone Production Car Championship which blasts into life at Zwartkops Raceway on Saturday, 3rd March.

Hennie Groenewald claimed a brace of third place podium finishes at Zwartkops Raceway to claim 2nd overall for the day while Richard Pinard set his best Production Car qualifying place and equalled his best result with 2nd place, earning 4th place overall at the final round of the Bridgestone Production Car Championship.

Hennie Groenewald and Richard Pinard head back to Zwartkops Raceway for the 9th and final round of the Bridgestone Production Car Championship with a few firm objectives in mind. The never-say-die approach of Team Sasol Subaru will be put to the test once more this season in front of what is expected to be a bumper crowd at the popular Pretoria West circuit.

Hennie Groenewald rewarded the entire Team Sasol Subaru outfit with a commanding win in race 2 of the Bridgestone Production Car Championship in a challenging weekend for the team.  Richard Pinard had a series of steady races to rack up more points in the championship and claimed 5th place in the 2-hour endurance race, the headline feature of the Sasol Race Day at Zwartkops Raceway west of Pretoria.

Hennie Groenewald heads into the Sasol Raceday at Zwartkops Raceway for the penultimate round of the Bridgestone Production Car Championship in third place on the points log with high hopes of claiming  the lion’s share of the 40 points on offer – 10 each for a win in the back-to-back sprint races and a double helping  of 20 for the 2-hour endurance race.

An overcast and blustery Killarney circuit in Cape Town hosted round 7 of the Bridgestone Production Car Championship, where Hennie Groenewald consolidated his third place on the points log after a difficult day for Team Sasol Subaru.

Team Sasol Subaru heads to Cape Town for the 3rd consecutive coastal race with Hennie Groenewald embroiled in a mammoth fight for the Bridgestone Production Car Championship, where he currently lies third in the title chase on 133 points, 21 adrift of Michael Stephen and 37 shy of Johan Fourie with another 120 up for grabs over the remaining three rounds.
